kṣhetra-kṣhetrajñayor evam antaraṁ jñāna-chakṣhuṣhā bhūta-prakṛiti-mokṣhaṁ cha ye vidur yānti te param
Translation
Those who see with the eye of knowledge the difference between the field and the knower of the field, and the release of beings from prakriti, reach the Supreme.
Hindi Meaning (हिंदी अर्थ)
Commentary
The chapter closes where it began, with the distinction (vibhaga, the word in the chapter's title) between field and knower. Jnana-chakshu, "the eye of knowledge," recalls the divine eye given to Arjun in 11.8. There it showed the cosmic form; here it shows the Self as distinct from all it knows.
