वेदानां सामवेदोऽस्मि देवानामस्मि वासवः । इन्द्रियाणां मनश्चास्मि भूतानामस्मि चेतना ॥ २२ ॥
vedānāṁ sāma-vedo ’smi devānām asmi vāsavaḥ indriyāṇāṁ manaśh chāsmi bhūtānām asmi chetanā
Translation
Of the Vedas I am the Sama Veda; of the gods I am Indra; of the senses I am the mind; and in living beings I am consciousness.
Hindi Meaning (हिंदी अर्थ)
मैं वेदों में सामवेद हूँ, देवों में इंद्र हूँ, इंद्रियों में मन हूँ और भूत प्राणियों की चेतना अर्थात् जीवन-शक्ति हूँ।
Commentary
The Sama Veda, the Veda of sacred song, is singled out — music as the highest form of scripture. And in every living being, God is chetanā — awareness itself.
