And there are many other heroes ready to give their lives for my sake, armed with many kinds of weapons, all skilled in war.

Commentary
Notice the phrase "for my sake." Duryodhan does not speak of a cause or of dharma, only of warriors willing to die for him. The Gita's opening scenes quietly contrast this self-centred view of war with the moral struggle Arjun will soon go through.
