Commentary
The Kaurava champions are formidable: Bhishma the invincible grandsire, Drona himself, Karna, Kripa, Drona's son Ashwatthama, Duryodhan's brother Vikarna, and Bhurishrava, the son of Somadatta. Duryodhan names Drona first — flattery, perhaps, or a reminder of where his loyalty should lie.
