अहं हि सर्वयज्ञानां भोक्ता च प्रभुरेव च । न तु मामभिजानन्ति तत्त्वेनातश्च्यवन्ति ते ॥ २४ ॥
ahaṁ hi sarva-yajñānāṁ bhoktā cha prabhureva cha na tu mām abhijānanti tattvenātaśh chyavanti te
Translation
For I am the enjoyer and the lord of all sacrifices; but they do not know me in truth, and so they fall.
Hindi Meaning (हिंदी अर्थ)
क्योंकि संपूर्ण यज्ञों का भोक्ता और स्वामी भी मैं ही हूँ; परंतु वे मुझ परमेश्वर को तत्त्व से नहीं जानते, इसीसे गिरते हैं अर्थात् पुनर्जन्म को प्राप्त होते हैं।
Commentary
Because they do not recognise the one God behind their worship, their reward remains limited and they return to rebirth. Knowing whom one worships changes where the worship leads.
