उदाराः सर्व एवैते ज्ञानी त्वात्मैव मे मतम् । आस्थितः स हि युक्तात्मा मामेवानुत्तमां गतिम् ॥ १८ ॥
udārāḥ sarva evaite jñānī tvātmaiva me matam āsthitaḥ sa hi yuktātmā mām evānuttamāṁ gatim
Translation
All these are noble, but the wise one I consider my very Self; for, with mind steadfast, they are established in me alone as the highest goal.
Hindi Meaning (हिंदी अर्थ)
ये सभी उदार (श्रेष्ठ) हैं, परंतु ज्ञानी तो साक्षात् मेरा स्वरूप ही है — ऐसा मेरा मत है; क्योंकि वह युक्तात्मा मुझ सर्वोत्तम गति में ही भली-भाँति स्थित है।
Commentary
Udārāḥ sarva evaite — "all of them are noble." Krishna does not look down on those who pray for help or wealth. But the wise devotee, who wants only God, becomes so close that Krishna calls them "my very Self."
