साङ्ख्ययोगौ पृथग्बालाः प्रवदन्ति न पण्डिताः । एकमप्यास्थितः सम्यगुभयोर्विन्दते फलम् ॥ ४ ॥
sānkhya-yogau pṛithag bālāḥ pravadanti na paṇḍitāḥ ekamapyāsthitaḥ samyag ubhayor vindate phalam
Translation
The childish, not the wise, speak of Sankhya (knowledge) and Yoga (action) as different. One who is truly established in either obtains the fruit of both.
Hindi Meaning (हिंदी अर्थ)
सांख्य (ज्ञानयोग) और कर्मयोग को मूर्ख लोग अलग-अलग फल देने वाले कहते हैं, न कि पंडित; क्योंकि दोनों में से एक में भी भली-भाँति स्थित पुरुष दोनों के फल को प्राप्त कर लेता है।
Commentary
Krishna calls it "childish" (bālāḥ) to set knowledge and action against each other. Done rightly, each leads to the same goal and includes the other: selfless action matures into knowledge, and true knowledge expresses itself as selfless action.
