श्रेयान्द्रव्यमयाद्यज्ञाज्ज्ञानयज्ञः परन्तप । सर्वं कर्माखिलं पार्थ ज्ञाने परिसमाप्यते ॥ ३३ ॥
śhreyān dravya-mayād yajñāj jñāna-yajñaḥ parantapa sarvaṁ karmākhilaṁ pārtha jñāne parisamāpyate
Translation
Better than sacrifice of material things is the sacrifice of knowledge, O scorcher of foes. All action without exception, O Parth, culminates in knowledge.
Hindi Meaning (हिंदी अर्थ)
हे परंतप! द्रव्यमय यज्ञ की अपेक्षा ज्ञान यज्ञ श्रेष्ठ है। हे पार्थ! सब कर्म ज्ञान में ही पूर्णतः समाप्त हो जाते हैं।
Commentary
All the yajnas listed are valuable, but they find their fulfilment in jñāna — understanding. Just as rivers end in the ocean, all sincere practice ends in knowing the truth.
