स एवायं मया तेऽद्य योगः प्रोक्तः पुरातनः । भक्तोऽसि मे सखा चेति रहस्यं ह्येतदुत्तमम् ॥ ३ ॥
sa evāyaṁ mayā te ’dya yogaḥ proktaḥ purātanaḥ bhakto ’si me sakhā cheti rahasyaṁ hyetad uttamam
Translation
That same ancient yoga I have told you today, for you are my devotee and my friend; this is indeed the supreme secret.
Hindi Meaning (हिंदी अर्थ)
वही यह पुरातन योग आज मैंने तुमसे कहा है, क्योंकि तुम मेरे भक्त और प्रिय सखा हो; यह उत्तम रहस्य है।
Commentary
Why Arjun? "Bhakto 'si me sakhā cha" — because you are my devotee and my friend. The Gita's deepest knowledge is shared through love and closeness, not only through intellectual qualification. This is one of the first clear signs of the Gita's devotional heart.
