न मे पार्थास्ति कर्तव्यं त्रिषु लोकेषु किञ्चन । नानवाप्तमवाप्तव्यं वर्त एव च कर्मणि ॥ २२ ॥
na me pārthāsti kartavyaṁ triṣhu lokeṣhu kiñchana nānavāptam avāptavyaṁ varta eva cha karmaṇi
Translation
O Parth, there is nothing in the three worlds that I have to do, nor anything unattained that I need to attain — yet I continue to act.
Hindi Meaning (हिंदी अर्थ)
हे पार्थ! मेरे लिए तीनों लोकों में न कुछ कर्तव्य है, न कोई प्राप्त करने योग्य वस्तु अप्राप्त है, फिर भी मैं कर्म में ही लगा रहता हूँ।
Commentary
Krishna points to himself as the supreme example. He needs nothing — and yet here he is, driving a chariot on a battlefield. If even God works without personal need, action cannot be beneath anyone.
