वेदाविनाशिनं नित्यं य एनमजमव्ययम् । कथं स पुरुषः पार्थ कं घातयति हन्ति कम् ॥ २१ ॥

Translation
O Parth, how can a person who knows this self to be indestructible, eternal, unborn and unchanging kill anyone, or cause anyone to be killed?

Commentary
Krishna turns the insight on Arjun directly. If the self cannot be killed, Arjun's fear of being a "killer of his kin" is based on a misunderstanding. This does not make violence trivial — the Gita will insist on acting from duty and without hatred — but it removes the paralysing sense of cosmic guilt.
