प्रह्लादश्चास्मि दैत्यानां कालः कलयतामहम् । मृगाणां च मृगेन्द्रोऽहं वैनतेयश्च पक्षिणाम् ॥ ३० ॥
prahlādaśh chāsmi daityānāṁ kālaḥ kalayatām aham mṛigāṇāṁ cha mṛigendro ’haṁ vainateyaśh cha pakṣhiṇām
Translation
Among the daityas I am Prahlad; among those who measure I am time; among beasts I am the lion; and among birds, Garuda.
Hindi Meaning (हिंदी अर्थ)
मैं दैत्यों में प्रह्लाद और गणना करने वालों में समय हूँ; तथा पशुओं में मृगराज सिंह और पक्षियों में गरुड़ हूँ।
Commentary
Prahlad, born among the demons yet the greatest of devotees, shows that goodness can arise anywhere. Time (kāla) is named as the great measurer of all things.
