गाण्डीवं स्रंसते हस्तात्त्वक्चैव परिदह्यते । न च शक्नोम्यवस्थातुं भ्रमतीव च मे मनः ॥ ३० ॥
gāṇḍīvaṁ sraṁsate hastāt tvak chaiva paridahyate na cha śhaknomy avasthātuṁ bhramatīva cha me manaḥ
Translation
The Gandiv is slipping from my hand and my skin is burning all over; I cannot stand steady, and my mind seems to be reeling.

गाण्डीव धनुष मेरे हाथ से फिसल रहा है और त्वचा जल रही है; मैं खड़ा नहीं रह पा रहा, और मेरा मन मानो चक्कर खा रहा है।
Commentary
The Gandiv was Arjun's famous divine bow — the symbol of his skill and identity as a warrior. That it slips from his hand shows how deep the crisis goes: it is not merely his nerve but his sense of who he is that is failing. A reeling mind (bhramatīva) cannot decide anything, which is why Arjun will soon ask Krishna for guidance.
