अव्यक्ताद्व्यक्तयः सर्वाः प्रभवन्त्यहरागमे । रात्र्यागमे प्रलीयन्ते तत्रैवाव्यक्तसञ्ज्ञके ॥ १८ ॥
avyaktād vyaktayaḥ sarvāḥ prabhavantyahar-āgame rātryāgame pralīyante tatraivāvyakta-sanjñake
Translation
At the coming of that day, all manifest things arise from the unmanifest; at the coming of night, they dissolve into that same unmanifest.
Hindi Meaning (हिंदी अर्थ)
संपूर्ण चराचर भूतगण ब्रह्मा के दिन के प्रवेश काल में अव्यक्त से उत्पन्न होते हैं, और ब्रह्मा की रात्रि के प्रवेश काल में उस अव्यक्त नामक सूक्ष्म शरीर में ही लीन हो जाते हैं।
Commentary
Creation breathes in and out. With Brahma's day, the universe unfolds from its unmanifest state; with his night, it folds back in. This cyclical view of time is characteristic of Hindu cosmology.
