तत्रैकाग्रं मनः कृत्वा यतचित्तेन्द्रियक्रियः । उपविश्यासने युञ्ज्याद्योगमात्मविशुद्धये ॥ १२ ॥

Translation
Sitting there on that seat, making the mind one-pointed and controlling the activities of mind and senses, one should practise yoga for the purification of the self.

उस आसन पर बैठकर, चित्त और इंद्रियों की क्रियाओं को वश में रखते हुए, मन को एकाग्र करके अंतःकरण की शुद्धि के लिए योग का अभ्यास करे।
Commentary
Ekāgraṁ manaḥ — the one-pointed mind — is the heart of meditation. Its purpose is ātma-viśhuddhaye, purification of the inner self, not special powers or experiences.
