About
The Lucknow campus of Central Sanskrit University in Gomti Nagar, established in 1986. It teaches Vyakarana, Sahitya, Bauddha Darshan, Jyotisha and Veda from Prak Shastri to Acharya and Ph.D., trains Sanskrit teachers (B.Ed.), and runs a Centre for Pali studies.

History
Established in 1986
The Lucknow campus was established in 1986 and stands on 10 acres at Vishal Khand, Gomti Nagar, with a main building, a boys' hostel of 58 rooms, a girls' hostel of 19 rooms, staff quarters, a playground and a gymnasium. Its Shiksha Shastra department has educational psychology and educational technology laboratories.
Pali and distance learning
A Centre for Pali Studies has functioned on the campus since 2009–10 and offers certificate courses in Pali, Prakrit and Bhot (Tibetan) languages, which sits naturally beside its department of Bauddha Darshan. The campus also hosts a Svadhyaya Kendra of the university's distance-education wing for those who cannot study full time.
